Action item (from previous meeting):

  • All bring a few points of update for approach and wiki and static public pages to next meeting:
  • Identify static pages to be displayed outside Login page for next meeting. Next week's agenda could include the links to such pages.

Bring Wiki page over to a joint editing session here in Confluence, all can update in draft and comment/debate.

Continuation from previous meeting:

Probably related to Containers FST: It's requested to have an LCOO session about the OpenStack Helm project - review of the Proof Of Concept.  This in general is a solution for Containerization of the Control Plane.  

Any other sessions/topics that we should have?? Ex. A session to review and discuss the papers that Sundar Krishnamoorthy (Deactivated) shared in our last roadmap team meeting? (see agenda item #4) 

  • Extreme Testing
  • Massively Distributed (Controlling the openstack multicloud)
    • Feed the massively distributed working group with the why/user stories for our distributed clouds
  • OneOps?

Next Steps for LCOO: Proposed working session Tuesday March 7 0100 (late on March 6 for US): 2017.03.06 Specialty-Containerized Control Plane User Stories

Update from the Roadmap Team:  

"Stories" are taking shape in the LCOO JIRA project:

  • What we have so far: https://openstack-lcoo.atlassian.net/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=29&projectKey=LCOO
  • Request that everyone review, comment, etc. Also please add any new proposals you may have by creating a new "Initiative" issue in JIRA and filling in the fields.
  • We will use JIRA and Confluence to collaborate around defining, discussing and prioritizing potential "Stories" for LCOO to take on
  • Whatever we decide to move forward on will then be uploaded to the PWG repository and initiate the "Story Workflow"

Next Steps:

  • Complete drafting "Story" proposals
  • Select one or more for LCOO ownership
  • Upload "Stories" to the PWG repository and begin the review & stakeholdering

5Forum Session Brainstorming Process / Details:

Here are the important dates:

  • February 27, 2017: Open brainstorming starts
  • March 14, 2017: Formal submission starts
  • March 26, 2017: Deadline for proposing Forum sessions

Should we propose a few sessions in the Forum from LCOO? For example: 

  1. Logging
  2. Containerizing control plane
  3. Extreme Testing
  4. Advancing Cloud native Principles
