This slide deck was introduced in the October 26 general Meeting. The purpose is for us to review, make any needed changes, and come to consensus over the revised LCOO mission, scope, form and function that they reflect. I have attached a slightly modified version from the one shared in our 10/26 meeting, based on comments made in the meeting. I've also attached versions for the Birds of a feather session and another to use for prospective new member recruiting (if desired).  -Andy Ukasick

Version for the BOF Session (for Jaesuk Ahn (Unlicensed) and Shintaro Mizuno (Unlicensed)):

LCOO Origins & Founding Vision

This slide is no longer needed - good for our own historical purposes - but not that useful and perhaps gives the impression that if you aren't one of the original companies you are not as welcome/wanted. -Jamey

3

LCOO is an OpenStack Community “Working Group”

Good slide for education and relevance to the rest of the Foundation.  Under WG section replace Enterprise with Financial which is an up and coming WG that came after LCOO. -Jamey

4

The LCOO Mission and Scope

Propose to take out the final point "Carrier dominated.." as a little confusing here and not really a positive anyway. -Jamey

5

LCOO member companies

Propose moving after benefits (next slide) so that the natural thought patter is less - be like us and more See these benefits - these other companeis are already getting them. -Jamey

6

Benefits of Active Membership in LCOO

great -Jamey

7

LCOO Roles & Responsibilities

great -Jamey

8

LCOO’s Revised Meeting Structure and Cadence

Propose rename to LCOO’s Meeting Goals and Cadence

Take out the bullets, which are less goal oriented and also logistical and could change.  Hoepfully people will ask and the answer can be part question and part agreement as to what it would take to get them to join:

  • Rotate times to accommodate global participation
  • Web-Meeting / Video Conference

-Jamey

9

LCOO Tools

Great -Jamey

10

LCOO Sessions and Collaborations

great - I tested all QR codes - I think they are attractive - make you want to scan -Jamey

11

LCOO 2.0 Target Member Profile

good slide for internal understanding based on change from past goals/agreements, not for general consumption -Jamey

12

How to Join

Content good.  Propose we take out the words "minimum" and "must commit".  The same message but more welcoming and less confrontational -Jamey

13

LCOO Members are plugged in to the Community

great - the insinuation or verbal side note is and we can get you into those areas also or take care of things you won't have to -Jamey

14

LCOO Members Contributed

great - same insinuation -Jamey

15

LCOO: Where to Find Us at the Summit

great -Jamey

16ok, seem like good reference in case of questions but not a presentation -Jamey
